I got overwatch banned on my alt for griefing (well deserved). But becuase of this my main account was convicted by vac? I don't understand this.

My alt account got banned for 5 weeks and 4 days because of Griefing, I well deserved this ban. But after signing into my main account it says I was vac banned Indefinitely when I don't have cheats and have never cheated on cs:go ever. I think this has to do with the same Number associated to my two accounts and because my alt was OW banned for griefing it banned my main too? This does not make sense to me why would I get vac banned on main because of overwatch ban on alt?

EDIT: On my vac info it says this [Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - Applied due to phone sharing - View Help Page] THUS causing me to conclude that there is a fault in the number sharing system where when OW banned for griefing it causes any other account sharing this number to be banned automatically by VAC!

EDIT #3: I only smurfed and griefed to get to silver to play with my IRL friend that is silver 1 I just wanted to play with my friend. I used the group called DERANKERS to try and get to silver. I only 5 man queued and only lost to get to silver I never cancered 4 other players on my team to lose.

Behavior by your account generated reports by fellow players. Overwatch investigators then viewed the gameplay footage and determined that behavior to be disruptive, anti-competitive, and/or anti-social beyond a reasonable doubt, and that a temporary ban was appropriate.
Steam Support is unable to remove your Overwatch ban. Even if the ban was the result of a hijacked or shared account. You are responsible for the security of your account. Steam Support will not provide you any details on the cause of the ban or the date and time of the infraction.
Your ban will expire in in 38 days, 22 hours.

Yes I understand this but its only a temporary OW ban on alt for griefing I did not get VAC banned on my alt indefinitely but on my main I got banned Indefinitely I dont understand.

Your alt got a game ban. Your main, which is the primary account for that phone number, got vac'd. Your phone number is banned for 3 months too.
