Does using Macro count as cheating?

So I just learnt about macro's on my logitech mouse and I made one to spam m1. Honestly I suck at spamming and shooting as my hand starts to curl up and isn't usually how I hold a mouse and it starts to suck. Anyways, is using this macro count as cheating. I heard some people said it was fun to use macros for dualies and tech nines and I wanted to give it a go, but will I be banned for it? I saw online that using an external software such as an auto clicker counts as cheating and will result in a ban, but is that true.

I honestly don't see why it should be counted as cheating as it's honestly the same as binding mouse 1 to mouse wheel. So if this does count as cheating, does that mean binds are also cheating?

Basically just asking will I be okay in game if I use it. I think I'm in like gold nova or silver, so would people even notice it before they might get upset about it?

EDIT: I've come to the conclusion that I will not use it, as even though it is not be considered cheating, it is against fair play.

Just dont inject any script or program in the game .

You should be fine if no external software is being used. That said, I doubt it will actually improve your game any.

I would just lean on the safe side and not use it. But heck, you can use it and let us know if it does give you a ban or not. Sorry I can't be much help on this.

You can't bind one key spam to a button without macro. So yes, technicly its a cheating.
And you can probobly be banned for that. No one knows for sure how huge the risk is.

But did you read the part where I said "what about binding mousewheel to shoot" isn't that exactly the same thing

Macros will not get you a VAC ban but depending on what you use them for they might get you an OW ban like a bunny hop script.

You're not gonna get banned for this. To get banned, you would need to inject code into game's memory thus modifying it and making it detectable. External scripts (yes, even ahk bhop scripts) are not detected. Though if you want to play faceit it is not allowed and you should turn it off.

Yes and no. You could get an OW ban for something like a no recoil script or a pixel triggerbot. External bhop scripts don't give an advantage, they only spam space key and it is the same as scrolling.

Yea I can see how millisecond timing for each jump can be bad, but monkey mode m1 doesn't sound that bad.

Binds are not external software but are integrated into the game specifically as a feature, for example to change (Toggle) the weapon hand or so that the community can invent binds / scripts like jumpthrow, things that improve quality of life. In the fairplay rules it is also clearly stated that "Never use any automation for any reason... Failure to play following these guidelines may result in various penalties, including cooldowns, communication restrictions, and game bans." however, the path between automation and fair quality of life improvements from the community... is very narrow and undefined. Changing the radar picture (dds-files) is also a change of the gamefiles and not allowed in theory.... However, depending on what you do certain things are accepted by the Community or even directly allowed by valve or other third parties like Faceit.

Having your mouse fire for you for whatever reason is well beyond Quality of Life and clearly gives you an unfair advantage over people for whom tapping is one more thing to micromanage especially if your taps are perfect every time... Secondly, yes this is external software does not matter if it's directly on your mouse or a program outside of CS who does play this makro. This is very clearly bannable.

Depends, vac won't catch you but aince you just found out about macros I doubt you are good enough at using them to not look blatantly obvious which will land you in low tf and game banned

Nope. You wont get banned unless you use an recoil macro and bhop macro in comp. But if your not using it in comp, You can't get banned. It is impossible. That is your answer.

Be real with yourself. You are. You even told every1 the excuse that your hand curls up when you shoot(????) To justify thr cheating to complete strangers who frankly don't care either way
