CSGO updates every 2nd/ 3rd day

And its very annoying. Just when I'm in the mood to play a match, steam updates it and this has been happening every consecutive day. Dont know whats happening with the rest of you but is this some kind of a malfunction or am I doing something wrong in the settings?

cs go has been updating once a week pretty much since it's launch, multiple updates will only occur when something has went wrong with the inital update.

is it steam updating all the time or cs go?

no its csgo updating everytime. Tiny updates though, 16mb today. I haven't noticed this before. This been happening for some weeks now.

the game did update today and the file size is correct.

the game updates every wednesday or thursday.

there is nothing to be worried about man!

Should be glad that it comes updates instead of none. You can see all the changelogs in the main meny of the game, under updates.

I thought theres something wrong with game files so it constantly updates every week.

If you think that's bad: buy Rust (please don't, even as a joke) and sign up for their most frequent updates in the options menu. I was literally getting 2-5 updates per day.

I can appreciate that updates can be annoying when you don't have much time and fancy a quick game. But I can appreciate and much prefer this option (I regularly balanced and maintained game) as apposed the other alternatives.

Yes. I hate those huge updates that eat up all bandwaidth limit. My RO2 is still left unupdated cos of the huge 8GB update.

NBA2K14 for example is still at version 1.0.0 despite NBA2K15 being a few months away. I don't know why they even post a version number in the title screen when they had no intentions of updating it whatseover, like all their (2K Sports) other games.
