'W' key active and pushing character forward after taking finger off

I'll be running along moving around, and when I take my finger off the 'w' key to stop moving forward, my guy will continue to slide forward for an extra second or two. It's pretty frustrating because I know the problem does not stem from my keyboard as I have tested it in other games and various typing tests.

The key itself is not stuck, something is wrong though and I am not sure how to fix it. I have heard of a couple others encountering this issue. What is the solution?

If his W key wasnt bound to forward in the first place he couldnt have ran.
Do you have multicore rendering enable? try to disable that.

Is it JUST moving forward? does anything else lag? if it does most likely vertical sync is enabled... if not then it must be some sort of driver error with cs as you said it works fine with other games...

I also have this problem with my laptop keyboard. I use an external keyboard to fix the problem
