Mouse DPI, CPI and CS:GO sensitivity calculation

Hi! I need help, I changed my crappy logitech mouse to SteelSeries sensei, now i have CPI instead of DPI and i want to calculate my old sensitivity into a new one. I tried online sensitivity calculator, but they seem not working on CS:GO :(
Old: 400 DPI 1.8 ingame
New: 990 CPI ??? ingame (and why I can't have 1000?)
I wanna know the exact "???" value
And why SteelSeries engine changes my values when i type 800 it turns to 810, 400 to 360 etc.)
And is there any difference between CPI and DPI?

CPI = DPI. It's semantics. Something must be wrong with your drivers because I can set mine down to individual digits no problem.

"DPI is the number of pixels per inch. CPI is the sampling rate per inch"

Dont have the time to investigate further. CPI and DPI values are apparently a 1:1 ratio with what ive read so far.

old dpi * in game sense * windows sense (6 win sense = value 1 / 5 win sense = value 0.75 / 7 win sense = value 1.5) / new dpi.

Example: 900 (old dpi) * 2 (csgo sense) * 1 (windows 6/11) / 400 (new dpi) = 4,5 csgo sensitivity.

Installed the update, then my steelseries engine showed a critical update, i updated, still have this problem... Can get any value of cpi its changing to some strange omes like 1080 or 990 :(

Man probably you have bought steelseries sensei raw edtion. That mouse CPI ranges from 90-5670 and increments is 90. so you can choose your CPI to be 90,180,270,360,450 and so on till 5690.

im not sure if DPI and CPI is same thing but in case if yes..then

go for 390 CPI and in game 1.85..

some of my research say CPI works exact double the DPI so you can make your calculation if 390 CPU and 1.85 sens too much for you.

Shoulda gotten a razer. My naga is great. It has razer synapse and you can chande DPI in 30 seconds. IT has this little meter ITS GREAT. If you woulda gottena razer we wouldnt have this problem now woul we?

You can't. Razer mice only do increments of 100. Instead of using 450 DPI at your sens, use 400 at the equivalent sense.

To work out new sens do 450 * Current Sensitivity / 400

If you triple your CPI, you need to divide your sensitivity setting by 3.
