Help me understand how cs go aim works.
Honestly I played css for 2 years and I was ok at that game. I aim on them, click and only my first bullet will hit them and all the others miss. 90% of the time when I see someone I will shoot in small 2 or 3 shot bursts but I only ever hit them for 27 in 1.

Even at point blank range I will 1 tap and wait for my recoil to settle and my next click will almost certainly miss them. It's really just like my gun registers the first hit and then just decides to make the next shots really unaccurate.

I watch people playing and they walk around the corner, aim at their chest, shoot 4 bullets and kill them. I do the same thing, shoot 4 bullets but they don't die so I have to let my recoil settle, burst 4 shoots again and they don't die... then they turn around and kill me.

I check console and it will say 27 in 1 or 53 in 2. It's like I either have smaller hit boxes to hit or it just takes my gun longer for the recoil to settle.

I tested it against an afk player and I went a good distance away and tap shot him waiting 1 second before each shot. It still took 5 shots to kill him despite me aiming on his head. I managed to get a headshot on the 5th bullet. The others must have hit his shoulders.

What the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with this? People say "oh but it's 64tick" but everyone in MM plays on 64tick and they don't have the issues I do. They just run and gun with no issues. I'm scared to challenge people 1 on 1 because I know they will just insta headshot me.

You've only played 14 hours. You will need at least 100 to get somewhat used to the basics.
When i started CS: Source i didn't need 100 hours for sure, because i were playing several shooters already. Yes, also Call of Duty 4. With 300h in GO i have a good rank there.

However, i have 2450h in Source but it's hard to get into GO from Source, i think 1.6 is easier.

"good rank" you should have said "best rank" as you can't get better than global elite.

playtime hours is relative not absolute, varies per person. while though i still suck, i took 800+ to have any noticeable improvement..
Of course it is relative, but you have to be some super human to really understand CS in 14 hours. :)

yes but thats why its relative, anyone claiming to understand it that fast is probably bullshitting. usually.

GO difficulty is more in between 1.6 and CS:S and the mechanics are more CS:S like. 1.6 is absolutely the hardest CS to master. :)

CS:S is very easy when you're used to 1.6, that's why it never got really big, competitively.

This is my first game and to my suprise, I didn't really have any problems with aiming so far. Actually, I'm doing pretty good.

The key is practice. Go to an empty map, start shooting at the wall and you will see where exactly are your bullets going. Then practice controlling the recoil and you will get a hang of it pretty fast.

I think you misunderstood me. If you start with CS:GO and you were a 1.6 player, it is easier. I know 1.6 is hard. :P

You can also play offline with harmless bots because they just stand there and never shoot at you. then you can turn on sv_showimpacts 1 in console to see what your bullets are hitting. There's a ton of other commands you can put in console to practice offline with. Google is your friend for those commands.
Alxndr 12 AGO 2014 a las 3:24 a. m.
I just played another game and had my friend watch me play. When I shoot someone and look in console it is always 27 in 1 or 43 in 1 something like that and he said that it almost looks like my shots are just going right through the enemy and not registering.
thats where 128tick comes in, but it does have its drawbacks..the max rate in csgo is 128000 & by doing the math, the max rate should be 160000 irrc (if ur friend knows all this, he/she can confirm this) which means ull get choke when playing with too many players in a single server @ 128tick with 128000 rate..but for 5v5 mm it should be fine. course this is theoritical as there is no offical mm 128ticks..

this is assuming ur internet is at least 1mbps down & has said bandwidth available to u at all times

Usually its mainly about anticipation and positioning, correctly anticipate an enemies move or position before you commit.
