Revenge team kill - griefing?
Was given such case on Overwatch.

"Our guy" gets mad at a teammate who flashed him, sprays on his feet giving 16 damage. A teammate replies with a spray in face, leaving our guy on 45 HP. Our guy sprays his face back making a teamkill.

So... Definitely an intentional kill which falls under "griefing" category. On the other hand, I kinda feel sorry for a kid if he'll get a 30 days ban for this... Watcha think?

It's against the rules so ban. Nothing to think.

Totally accidental. Although it was evident that our guy has took a spot ahead and didn't ask for flashes.

Btw, do you think that teammate deserves a ban for striking back too?

Totally accidental (except for, he maybe should check a radar before throwing flashes next time)...

Btw, do you think that teammate deserves a ban for striking back too?

I think it sounds like a trading card game lol.If it was on purpose and not due to the flash a kick from server would suffice but I am not sure how bans work on CSGO being new.

That is why in overwatch you don't see chat or hear voice comms, because in a situation like that a teamkill is a teamkill.

What evidence is available to the investigators?
Investigators are presented with a replay of a randomly selected eight-round segment from an accused player’s match, and their task is to determine whether or not that player has committed any offenses during that replay. The suspect is referred to as “The Suspect” and the other players’ names have been replaced. All text and voice chat has been omitted. The investigator is expected to make a determination solely based on the actions of the suspect.

It was deliberate team damage, they should both be banned, and if they were both reported I'm sure they will be.

That was my thinking (I don't know anything about the process as admitted) as if one gets a ban lashing out is just as bad and deserves the same punishment.

Sometimes when a teammate flashes/blocks me repeatedly, I'll tap his feet with my pistol and do like 2 damage, just to tell him to back off.

I think that's okay, but if he did 15 damage, then (depending on the weapon) he shot him 2-4 times in the chest, which I think is way too much rage just for one flash.

I think if he was helping the team and doing good besides that one screw-up, then he can be forgiven. If he wasn't really a big credit to the team, I would mark griefing. It's your call.

any sort of griefing is counter productive in competitive gaming.

Well even payback is technically against the rules, even if it is justified.. GIVE EM THE HAMMER
