CS:GO Friends list

I have 1 person in my CS:GO Friends list. I do not know this person. I have not added this person. I do not wish to have this person in my list.

Is there any way to disable the CS:GO Friends list altogether? Seems like it's bugged.

EDIT: I have not added this person - I have accepted nothing. I can't remove the person either. The CS:GO Friends list is its own interface, it's not Steam Friends.

well then just don't hit the accepct button. Another option is just right clicking on you view friends and then in the drop down menu by your name go to offline.

bumping for great justice, because this problem is weird - although i see some people mentioning it here and there, it doesn't seem like that many experience it. but there's gotta be something wrong with that in-game list somewhere.

I have this issue too. I blocked communication with the guy just in case too. But he still shows up in the CSGO list :(

I can look at their aliases (past names) and he had one other, and it wasnt one I knew. The guy also only had 1 friend, and 1 game: CS:GO. clearly there's something suspicious there, so he's not the kind of guy I want glitched into my friend's list.

yeah i really need to stress that it's *not* a friend from the regular steam friend list. it's simply a "cs:go friend" who shows up in the cs:go list without me having any say in the matter.

Same bug. In CSGO menu player apears in friends list (him playing CSGO). I dont have/had him in my steam friends list. No option to remove him from the list. Only common thing is that we are from same country.

I think I've noticed the country thing too, but I can't be sure across the many random times I've experienced it.

It's gotta be some sort of stubborn bug hidden away somewhere deep...

I am experiencing the same bug/thing recently. Are there any solutions for this?

None that I know of. I sent some reports where the wording specified that the player was somehow showing up, just so they knew it was an issue (for some people). Haven't checked if I still have the issue (been a while since I've been in CS:GO), but seeing as how you do, it's obviously still there, so they still need to be made aware of it.
