Is a 60 Hz monitor enough for CS:GO?
As the title says. Is a 60 Hz monitor enough for CS:GO?

Reason I'm asking is because I just can't progress i nthe game. Stuff doesn't got where they should etc. The cross hair is dead on the head and I'm still, yet no HS.

When I practice my aim by myself it's dead on, but I have a hard time hitting players. I have gotten a few quad-frags but not many. My match results varies drastically. I can be either on par with my teammates(when I am, I usually have spot 2 or 3 in the scoreboard) or waaaaaaaaaay behind, never anywhere between that. Since I have a 60 Hz monitor that's the only possible cause IMO.

Why would the results vary so much if the ones on my team always are the same people if this wasn't a hardware issue? They all have 120+ Hz monitors. What if I only perform when the enemy also has 60Hz monitors?

Do you guys have any experience of this?

Pardon my English, I'm kinda tired atm and cba to write anything fancy.

there's a huge difference between 120 and 60. play on 120 and it's essentially a revelation; you'll wonder how you ever managed to make do before. the difference between 144 and 120 is also relatively noticable but at LAN events they typically use 120hz monitors so of course if you're planning on attending any tournaments i'd stick with 120 at home so you're used to it :D

(1/60) - (1/120) = 0,0083 seconds (8,3 ms) which when rounded up is 10 ms
Well I have two monitors I switch between. One is 1080p 120 hz, the other is 2560x1440 60hz. I definitely notice the difference between the two. I love my 2560 for all the eye candy, but the 120 hz is so much more smooth and responsive.

This guy isn't just a bit of a comedian, he's actually got plenty of useful videos that other tip givers rarely attempt to cover in depth.

You need to have at least 1khz or its not even worth it.
It's enough to play the game just fine.
I used to belong among those who didn't care about monitor refresh rate. Then I went to an electronics/computers expo (cebit). Saw a 120hz monitor across the hall and it was like the second coming of Christ. Fatal1ty was playing Quake against random people with a chance of winning a Benq 120hz monitor. It was long since I had played Quake 3 last and I hadn't even touched a PC in 3 days so it went terribly. I managed to rail him and have him suicide once because he wasn't taking it seriously anymore.

But I can't be satisfied with 60hz anymore. And my current screen has tearing no matter what I do. I'm living in hell right now.
