Well-Worn is just usually more rarer, maybe that tricks people, I don't know. But if someone wanted item to have a terrible condition, they would look for battle-scarred guns anyway.
Also, even if well-worn sells for more, it's usually the idiots or well-worn collectors (if there are any?) who buy them. Compare how many are sold every day with FT and you'll see that WW is a real pain in the a$5 to get rid of. :)
