I was in your position when I started CS:GO. My aim was good, but if you can't control spread and recoil, it was pointless. Controlling movement and cover is more important than aim in CS GO (although still important, but the former breaks you). Next would be to master recoil patterns when standing still. I'm still trying to get a hang of that in combat situations (I can control it decently spraying a wall).
I also only use two guns exclusively when learning spray patterns (m4a4 and ak), as I find it to be taking a long time to master. I'm still pretty average at this game, but tons better than when I started couple months ago.
I now cringe when I see someone moving and shooting with the AK and wondered why they die. But I was in that position not too long ago. It also help to go up from a 24 to 27 inch 1080p monitor :) only problem I have is if i don't get headshots, i usually die 50% of the time. I'm still very bad at compensating for recoil as a habit as I've never had to do that in other games. Least for most guns, the first 10 bullets are mostly vertical recoil. Rarely would you spray beyond that unless dealing with multiple targets close range.
Another big thing is creating opportunity with grenades, but I haven't gotten that far in my personal training yet :p Stuff like nades, movement and cover is worth a lot more in CS GO than straight aiming.
Just keep practicing, 2 months ago I couldn't kill anything with AK. Now, that is my weapon of choice.
Edit: Do not crouch when you are not needed to. Example if you are pushing a sight crouching will make you a turtle if there are 2 people there. Just stand still for 1 or half a second take a 3 shot burst then move to cover. IF there is a 1v1 and you shot about 8 of your rounds and you are still in the gunfight go crouch as for their recoil by that time will get ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Also because when you go crouch you might just get a instant headshot becuase you just lowered the pattern of recoil by little and it may very well get a headshot.
Reloading will get you killed more than anything.
The AK. Well its great for random headshots. I typically aim more at the balls cause the shos tend to go upward and you may get a headshot. But i believe theres a pattern, feet to head and back to feet and shots will land on them in controlled burst.
I'm telling you the dot crosshair makes a world difference.
So yeah mate if ur doing good with flick shots i highly recommend you to practice the awp and i feel it will suit u the best....also u can use tech9 / five seven with the awp and in these pistols even if u mave and schoot it doesnt make much difference.....so yeah try awping and perhaps it will suit you (':
