[High ranked] What should you do in this situation? CT Mid mirage
Early round, you play in window, Ts smoke top mid and short. You give calls and your teammates know. Should you be aiming top right boxes from left side window? Just aim under? Rotate and play in conn? Lets say they smoke both top mid cross and short so you cant see if they push short if you are in window.

Or should you just wait for smokes to fade at a passive angle and tell your mate in conn to hold short?

Lets also say that they are not morons and can boost in window.

This is high ranked only, Global/Faceit 6+. If you are lower ranked than LEM, please instead of giving a suggestion, just read the other comments in case you learn something :)

When they smoke off window every round you have to vary your playstyle. Sometimes you can molly window so they think it's smokes off and you can get an easy entry, sometimes you push up mid with another player, sometimes you go into window with the short player and boost into ladderroom, sometimes you go short together etc.

It is no problem to give up mid and even window tho. You can hold window from ct spawn (through the hole), you can also hold conn from ticket or go into connector, go jungle and hold palace. As a mid player you've to vary a lot and have to adapt to your enemies and teammates aswell. It is a good idea to switch it up a lot especially when you're an awper and the mid/a anker player is a rifler so they never know if an awp or rifle is defending conn/palace.

Obviously it is also required to talk and rotate a lot so whatever you do say what you gonna so and what spots the t's can go through.

You should call to your connnector and cat player, molly top mid boxes and hold the peak from boxes and dependant on how they played the last time they did a mid exec you should watch the mid smoke push or just rotate to jungle and watch palace while your cat and con player holds the mid push

Why are you such a try hard? Just aim wherever you want. I really hate playing with people like you.

So you hate people who play the game how it's meant to be? Why you even comment when you don't care?

There are people who made it past gn4 and getting advice from actual good players can be good

If you want to hold mid a short and con player is crucial because you can't really solo hold mid unless you are more skilled than the enemy team by a margin. The connector player should always throw a con smoke so they cant rush con early round, the short player should throw a cat lurk smoke right in front of the mid smoke to peak chair or bottom con, and you as a window player should throw a molly behind boxes and either A. help con/stairs player hold con/palace B. lurk window and go for occasional peaks for info C. molly under and go for an aggro peak if you know you can take the fight.

You're welcome. :)
Actually it's not even your fault when you're overwhelmed by that position because it is by far the hardest position to play considered any competitive map. There are tons of angles, posibilities, enemies focus is most of the time towards mid control and it heavily depends how your teammates play. It took me a while to tell some teammates how to play b short and a / conn because they didn't understand that mirage overall and mid area specificly are positions where they have to support and vary their playstyle a lot.

I think that is one of the reasons why I like the map so much because it's not just the usual map with typical bottlenecks and nothing in between. There are way more ways to play it.

Actually this video is really nice and it will help you a lot:

I’m lvl 5 faceit and B+ ESEA. When I get smoked mid our B guy will push deep aps and hop underpass to catch T’s off guard. A guys just play passive for a conn push. And you in window hold for a boost because you’re a guys have conn. Usually we’ll enough info do predict where they’re going from the aps push. My highest faceit is 7.

Jesus listen to yourself man, I bet you ranked up from DMG to LE and now you think you’re a pro. It’s completely ridiculous to ignore 85% of the community because you think they’re incapable of any half advanced tactic

Ah no. I am supreme and been for a while. But posts like these attracts lots of novas. I plan on going up the ranks and learning what people will do. So this also works as a T to expect these big plays. Lets be honest, how often do you see a group of random dmgs make a strat out of a smoke on top mid? they would probably react when the mid player is ded.

This one depends on you having similar skill team members. That game I had which made me ask the question had some very passive players who stuck to bombsites. Only one guy was running around with the awp and getting kills. But good plan.

I guess what id do next is also consider pushing under while conn guy holds short. if under is clear, and my b player pushed apps, we can surround the mid guys

Lets be honest here, they will take my head off before i even see them. Ill have to stick to unfair fights in my favour. I play very often too aggressive and would keep peeking boxes without the molly. My mistake.

But pushing under/top mid sounds like a great idea

You should be throwing the molly as soon as the smoke lands top mid and hold the peek. After that its safe to just fall off to jungle and decide what to do from there. A lot of pros play window or con in pugs so you can watch them and see what they do.
