Discord picking up csgo sounds.
Any help?I already googled and none of the solution works for me. I thought it was the headphone problem so I changed my headphones (from steelseries p300 to hyper x cloud core) but the problem persists.

I was about to tell you to disable the "stereo mix" in the realtek control panel, but if that worked for you, then great, at least I'll know what to do in case this happens in the future.

When you use your mic in CSGO, it actually plays the sound from Discord? Or when you talk in Discord it's playing the audio from CSGO?

This sounds like your Input Device is selected incorrectly in Discord (or windows?). Make sure in the Settings > Voice & Video, you have the correct Input Device selected. It sounds like you might have "Steam Streaming" or some other incorrect Input Device selcted here.

Have you also checked Windows input device?

What does Discord's input device say? Is it correctly choosing the microphone?

Dumb question but: is that your correct microphone? You have your microphone plugged into your soundcard/motherboard? It's not a USB microphone or something?

Do you have any Realtek software on your machine? Sometimes those come with their own audio settings - it might have something selected like using your output as your input, or perhaps has a checkbox somewhere for "record what I hear" or something.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

The issue is more than likely your control box that came with the headset. I also have a Kingston Hyper X Cloud headset and my control box caused the same exact issue.

Try using it without the control box (if you are able). I can unplug from mine and plug directly into my PC. Yeah it sucks to have to adjust the volume differently but nobody hears any more game sounds when I try and speak using TeamSpeak, Discord, etc....

Unfortunately I'm directly plugged into the motherboard but the issue persists...I gave up on solving the issue I guess I'll go and irritate my friends a little more

Btw the problem is fixed! It seems there was something called volume boost which was set on 10 decibels...I reduced it to 0 and turned on acoustic echo cancellation in realtek and the problem is fixed!

I was about to tell you to disable the "stereo mix" in the realtek control panel, but if that worked for you, then great, at least I'll know what to do in case this happens in the future.

well I had that disabled already but I tweaked some settings and then ultimately knew that turning on acoustic echo cancellation was the solution for me!
