What does Discord's input device say? Is it correctly choosing the microphone?

Do you have any Realtek software on your machine? Sometimes those come with their own audio settings - it might have something selected like using your output as your input, or perhaps has a checkbox somewhere for "record what I hear" or something.
Sorry I can't be of more help!
Try using it without the control box (if you are able). I can unplug from mine and plug directly into my PC. Yeah it sucks to have to adjust the volume differently but nobody hears any more game sounds when I try and speak using TeamSpeak, Discord, etc....
I was about to tell you to disable the "stereo mix" in the realtek control panel, but if that worked for you, then great, at least I'll know what to do in case this happens in the future.
