144+ fps on 144hz monitor does not feel smooth

1. u need to be using the correct cable. not every cable type can do high hz.
displayport is good. hdmi is bad.
2. u have to put the cable into the gpu, not into the mainboard slot.
3. u have to select hz in windows screen advanced settings.

Already using 144hz, just recently it started feeling like it's not 144 fps

tickrate has nothing to do with how smooth the image on ur screen feels.

csgo has notoriously bad frametimes, the game will never truly feel smooth below 200fps unless you enable vsync or cap your fps. i had the same issues until i finally switched to linux and use vulkan for rendering now (which also gives me considerably higher average fps, btw)

dont listen to these 2. keep trying to fix your problem. its not normal.

I would check your temps on the cpu and start there. And its so much wrong info in this topic i cant even count

You can go into csgo and type mat_info and it will tell you what refresh rate you are using
