I went from MG2 to LE in about 15 wins 5 losses.
its not
Every win takes you toward your next rank, every loss sets you back.
for real, there is no firm number
and also, it depends also on your overal perfomance in all of your matches
Winning against silvers (weak opponents) -> easy task -> less rewards -> more games to rank up (up to infinity).
Winning against GE (strong opponents lol) -> harder task -> bigger reward -> less games to rank up
At least thats how other elo based systems work. Since CSGO rank system is not transparent - no one knows for sure.
But from experience things above is true for CSGO.
tl:dr; 1-infinity depends on how good you are and what opponents you have. Skill > wins.
You're equally likely to have smurfs on your team, so this doesn't affect your rank at all.
