Player names all look like bot-names in Official matchmaking
Maybe some dumb question, but still... Does anybody know why my co-players and enemies always have the same names. Even if I switch between casual, deathmatch, wargames... It's always Emu, Vulture, Dart, Stump, Banjo, Hatchet, Beta, Vortex, Toucan, Toaster, Blackbird, Anchor, Heron, Violet, Nautilus, Donkey, Canary, Whale, ....

Never had this in the past, started about a few weeks ago...

It appears the names are given instead of the real player names. I find this very confusing though...

Can anybody help?

You're most likely playing against bots.

That look like...bot name.
It might be stupid, but aint you playing in bot mod ?

I also found it were bot names, but I really select the "official matchmaking".
And if I go and look for the community profile, I actually land on pages of real players, but they aren't named as the user I selected.

Man, do I feel stupid. I thought it meant that any non-regional character would be cleaned out. Not that the entire name would be changed.

I've learn something.
Quite usefull if another wave of watchMeOnTwtic/v,ksdo users come back ever again.
