Turn on steam, go ingame, make all the settings again, tell us if it worked.
Any more suggestions will be appreciated. I'll try them all and report which one helps
Turns out I was looking in the wrong place for enhancements. It wasn't the speakers' fault, it was the microphone's. I disabled enhancements for recording devices (I was troubleshooting a different problem) and what do you know, everything is hunky dory.
OMG thank u soooo much now I can finally hear footsteps I searched for this sooo much and I even founf solutions for Realtek but not for Conexant. I was wondering how could microphone interfere with speakers
