Sound distorted/crackling..?

So I recently came back to cs after about 6-8months of not playing anything whatsoever..For some reason, the sound is super distorted/glitchy/crackling, and I have no clue why. I see there has been a new update with new sounds added etc. I dno if that might be it, but no1 I know or read about has this same problem..I have no problems in other games, or outside of csgo in general..I have tried change the audio settings, and multirendering etc. but the problem still persists. It happens both with and without headset.
Does any1 have any idea what I can do to try solve the issue?
EDIT: Just finished installing Dota2 again, and I have the same issue there, but not in other games such as Overwatch, Wow etc.. :/

I understand, and I guess thats great. But do you have any idea what I can do to fix my issues with the crackling/popping sound in steam games?

hi I don't know if you have fixed it yet, but increasing the value of snd_mixahead might worked for me

You can temporarily fix the sound issues by right clicking on the game and going to properties, then go the Local Files tab, then hitting "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES..."

Once you do that, it rebuilds the local files, I presume. This fixes the issue for me for a short period, then the issue reverts.

I really hope the amazing software engineers fix this issue, this is killing me.

If anyone else have the same issue, I "fixed it" entering in csgo audio settings, changing anything at random and then choose "restore default". So yeah, basically I fixed it without changing anything.

Changed snd_mixahead value to "1" and instantly stopped to "crackling" sound. TY
