The new "Inferno" map update SUCKS really bad... The earlier one was way much better
CSGO came with a new map design for the famed map "Inferno" which sucks real bad. With all those new changes (except Apartment area) the map has lost it's charm with no real tactics/strategies & hiding places; and has become more open; like aim & shoot in plain sight. Not only the design of Bombsite A, Banana etc looks crap, it ain't got any sense to it. :steamfacepalm:

People always hate change
It's more balanced than the previous one.The previous one is more ct sided.

Oh look, a salty silver who can't aim.

It's literally the same map design with some gameplay changes that favor the T side, because inferno before was more CT sided.

The designs at Bombsite A & Banana... Don't you think removing those hiding places & changing textures for more vision hinder the strategic game play in a variety of ways for both sides?

I disagree i think the new design is way better, its more allocating to T side which was a huge problem before. Just learn the new In and outs of the map and its not that much different.

The only design change I disagree was the opening you could see from banana allowing you to molotov new box, but beside that it's alright.

The new inferno is stupidly T sided I've found. You need 3 ct's to hold A consistently 3 more to have a hope of holding B. As soon as you're out of smokes and molotovs there are no smokes you can throw from A site to smoke off banana due to the closedout skybox, and even if you could you'd have to smoke in front of the car to actually have an effect. The map has become a "point and click" map since all the T's have to do is choose a site to push and then leave a lurker to watchforflanks and keep map control. If you find 3 at the site you push, you fallback and easily take the other site. Tactics are very limited and the map looks near cartoonish in style. Bombsites are more open, however the removal of graffiti (as a hiding spot) has actually made the map even more T sided as ct's can no longer hide there.

The skyboxes are the #1 issue IMO. Then the chokepoints need work.

Skyboxes are an issue, however two people can reliably hold bsite, they just need lots of nades. Challenging banana is suicide for the CT's given that barrels (formerly car) is completely bangable and the terrorists can boost over the wall. Holding banana would be much easier if the Ct's could still smoke it from spawn.

This update requires that three people play A as it is once the T's take apps/mid, the Ct's have nowhere to hide. Pit is tiny, graveyard is open, balcony door is wider and can see into libray, and the site has completely open. Retakes just got much easier, and people no longer blend into the background.

Actually, most Ts prefer to go B all the time because its easy to push trough smoke against 2 guys, and since its more open its easier to frag the CTs holding lines.

me and my premade hold B with 3 players while 2 guys play agressive A, Havent lost a single inferno game like that yet on CT side.

It is very T sided now. Banana is too open and the wall that you can shoot though is a stupid idea. If all Ts rush 1 site there is no way to take it back. CTs don't have enough cover. Buildings are too tall and that's why nades can't be thrown like in old inferno.

To fix this some buildings need to be made shorter. The wall on banana needs to be unpenetrable. The grevyard at A is useless, it needs to be removed or a wall should be added as cover.

No, holding B site shouldnt be done from B. Just hold it from "car" or barrels as its called now.

Since we found out better spots to hold with my premade, weve won 10 rounds as CT. GE rank.
