the better player should stay alive
luring an enemy so that your teammate gets the kills even if it means you might die is the good kind
calling people to a site and waiting for them to run in first so that you might get easy kills or just to cover your own ass is the bad kind.. this is probably what they refer to
There is good and bad baiting
good: low health teammate, maybe no rifle. tell him to bait the enemy, you can knock out say an awper for the cost of a 20hp teammate with a pistol.
bad: not telling teammates you are baiting them, or just letting them die without trading kills to get away because you dont want to die.
good examples there, too often people use the bad kinds of baiting, its horrible to play with those people.. some think that their individual score will make them rank up faster than the teams full score
Good examples of good and bad baiting here. And while individual score matters to some degree, rounds won count more. The bad kind of baiting will result in more rounds lost, and therefore causing ranking upnto be slower or not happen at all.
That, and youre a complete jackass if you let your teammates die for personal gain. Its a team game people, act like it.
If possible however, I would try to aim just a bit to the left or the right of the teammate without spraying, doesn't mean I'm gonna be able to get the enemy down knowing my terrible aim.
Anyway, just thought I'd give my thoughts on how the game has changed during time that I've spent in the silver tier since... January of 2015 I believe.
Bit of a necro there mate.
Oh?
Discussion has been silent since december 2016.
Ah, I see...
