Butterfly knife gone from inventory????

So I tried to sell my butterfly knife on skinport as it seems pretty reputable but when I tried to trade it for nothing in return it kept saying it was cancelled because steam thought it could be a scam. I go to check my inventory and my knife is gone, will it cone back? Did I get scammed tho it didn't go through?

Check if you have a API key set and delete it. And you can check where the skin is via inventory course. Its always not bad to check if you have an API key set, especially before trades.

Might not be skinport original domain, if someone creates a domain skimport for example or skinporl it will be hard for you to see the difference on the url. I have used skinport for ages and never had any trouble, hope you find out what happened, good luck

API Scam saturday YAY ... NOT

What you described is a common API scam.

First withdraw all your API keys and change your passwort.

Just google for "what-is-an-api-scam-and-how-to-prevent-it".

There are also a lot of YT vids out there which explain those method.

Look at your recent trades, most likely scammed. API scam maybe

I see it in my trade history to someone i obviously didn't accept a trade to to my knowledge. Am i able to get my knife back if steam intervenes????

No. You can only report that other person but you will not get it back

Nope nothings there, I saw it in my trade history to someone I dont know and I had an unknown api on my account so they took it, it was worth $2000 :/
