Why so many fake accounts?
I noticed CSGO is mostly fake accounts that are below level 10 with no other games on them or just free games to make it seem real when checking profiles. Is there a reason or are they just burner accounts for cheating? It just seems sus that i see so many of them or private ones that are low level steam accounts. Seems to be a pattern with CSGO that I don't see in my other games when looking. Is there a actual valid reason not to use your main account?

so it is used for cheating then? I dont see a reason for Smurf account if you are playing casual.

If you mean accounts that have CSGO but with very little hours put in them, but also having some other free games to make it seem legit, then they're most likely scam/bot accounts. If one or multiple of them end up sending you a friend request, and you accepting their request, they'll end up spamming you with a "hey, there's this one website where if you login you'll get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for entering, I got my butterfly fade on here [insert link]", where the link is most of the time a link that leads to a website that if you login on it, it'll try to bot your account by sending similar messages to people in your list, or at times, it's an IP grabber if you pressed on the link.

I'll have to uncensor the hearts, Steam is being a nonce.

ahh okay. Makes sense. They didn't stand out or anything, but just was looking and noticed then started checking more and more people encountering the same things, same words, same free games and same comments on their profile with low levels. only came across a few that were extremely good. Just stuck out and was wondering why it was common. Sad to see Counter-strike like this.

It's been like this since like the beginning of the introduction of the cases if I'm not mistaken. If not by then, then by the point when skins started to become part of trader's lives where they sell good skins for thousands for cash money. And I don't think this applies to CSGO only, there may be some games that go unnoticed and those communities may have similar incidents like what CSGO has.

True !
Account level doesnt mean anything.
My account was below lvl10 for 16years or so, simply because i didnt care about my profile at all.

And only because i had a moment of extreme boredom i looked into it and raised my account lvl to 27.
But still, ...it doesnt mean anything.:steambored:

Possibly bot networks. Drop farming, overwatch botting, scamming, etc etc. Probably hundreds of thousands of accounts are either semi or fully automated.

Some will be cheater throw away accounts. Some more still will be normal user accounts that never got used that much for whatever reason. Some are market accounts used to store market items.

i know that's why i look for similar words, comments on their profile and I check if they've changed their name more than 5x in recent time along with account ages to completely check different stuff instead of just level. It's still seems to be more than than luck that so many were similar in a lot of ways. I'm not saying you are a bot, which is why i asked however a lot of it does make sense and why CSGO is still considered super popular even though I see so many say NA is pretty dead comparatively to other countries.
you described my account, i don't see how this couldn't be real
