I bought CSGO a few years ago, but I don't have prime.

Anyone know why this is? I have no badge or anything prime related. All help is apprieciated.

Maybe you never touch the game before. So dont expect to recibe the badge if u never play the game

But everywhere I look it says if you owned the game when it was buyable, you get prime for free (because its now a free game)

To OP:
Also you could have bought it years ago, but if you have not played it then you do not have the loyalty badge in inventory but still are prime.
Do this to check if you are prime:
To verify Prime Status on your account, press the 'Play' icon in the upper left and look for a green coin and 'PRIME ENABLED' on the next screen.

If you are not prime, yet bought the game years ago contact steam support.

Also you could have bought it years ago, but if you have not played it then you do not have the loyalty badge in inventory but still are prime.

Next time please read the original thread title, as I clearly said I bought it years ago. Also I have already tried pressing play, clicking the green coin and enabling prime, but it ends up showing me a checkout for £11

Because I've only realised this issue for around 2 days, and was wondering if I'd missed something obvious, hence I came to the community for help. If nobody could help me, I would take things further. Although it would help if you could let me know how to create a 'steam support ticket'!

There is this big navigation button on the top saying SUPPORT.

There was a option to switch to Prime status several months before it became free2play
so only players who did that got their prime status for free ;)

This is not true, any accounts with csgo played prior to danger zone update (free to play update) got prime for free.

I’d just be surprised if this was true because I’ve done a lot of research and I haven’t seen anything like this. Everywhere I go it pretty much only says if you had the game prior free to play then you get Prime

did you play it during the paid period? Find you CSGO data page and tell us when you first owned CSGO?

I got csgo during the beta but this says i only played it 2013 which matters more.
