[SOLVED] cant open game: access denied 0x5 error

how can i fix this?

for some context, yesterday i used easy anti cheat of the first time to play a tournament on♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I got EAC from steam.

I already tried restarting and validating game files
tried admin mode
tried giving myself permissions (idk if done correctly)
Other games work perfectly
disabled and uninstalled Easy esports aka. Easy anti cheat



FIX: UPDATE WINDOWS OR

what you can also do:
-Restarting pc and validating game files (2missing files for me)

-admin mode on steam and cs go

-try giving yourself permissions through windows if they're somehow fkd up

-disable and uninstalled Easy esports aka. Easy anti cheat

-Back up the game (when you backup it only backs up the game with no extras, so you WILL
lose demos and maybe also config but will have a "fresh" install)

-restore the game from the backup

-WINDOWS UPDATE



so if nothing helps check if antivirus blocks cs go or windows firewall, if yes whitelist entire steam folder.

yes, sadly doesn't work, also when i make shortcut in desktop it gets me this {LINK REMOVED}https://i.imgur.com/EGVtAlh.png
i also tried giving all permissions to myself, idk if i did it correctly

- type: sysdm.cpl
- tab advanced
- click on settings under performance
- tab data execution prevention

set the radio button to: "turn on DEP for essential windows programs and services only"

Goto program files folder: C:\Program Files (x86)
Find Steam -> right click -> properties -> tab security
(local) Users should have full control.

goto same location -> click button advanced under the security permissions

Alright I have fixed this issue (i think) by facing my biggest fear and updated windows 10. I don't know if that alone fixed it or everything i did had an impact, after all it hapened 1 day after using an anti cheat client
