VAC was unable to verify game session and keeps performing first time setup

Help! My csgo is broken, it keeps performing first time setup randomly and when I try to go into matchmaking it says VAC was unable to verify game session. I tried like all kinds of stuff. When I try to verify game files it keeps saying that 1 file isnt verifyied or something. pls help shouldf i delete and reinstall csgo?

Oh you have to close cs:go + steam down completely.. then right click on steam --> Run As Admin then you'll be able to play - let me know if it works/doesn't

thanks for the tip, no first time setup but again the VAC message, I just delted and reinstalled it and the VAC message is still there idk wtf to do anymore

Have you added csgo to be ignored to any antivirus / firewall or cleaning programs

That ususlaly isn't the problem.

There is something interfering with how VAC runs.

@OP: Make sure you are not running any registry cleaners. Also, you will ant to try verifying the game file integrity befire taking other steps.

I tried verifying the game file integrity like 20 times, everytime 1 item is unverified or missing or something

If you have idle master uninstall it. It can give an error

Steam can pick up on installed games if you use the same path

Maybe try reinstalling CSGO but you shouldn't need to reinstall Steam.

Have you restarted your PC, router and modem?

Is anyone else playing CSGO on your LAN?

Tried deleting download cache in Steam download settings?

Added Steam and CSGO folder to exception listing in Antivirus?

Holy heck i deleted downloading cache and now it works again thx dude ive been trying to solve this for like a week
