(A)-> Ak-47 M4a4 AWP Deagle Cz-75

The Ak-47 does everything a weapon needs to do to be viable in csgo, and more. It 1 shots to the head, is maneuverable, has 30 bullets, is the 3rd cheapest assault rifle, among other great stats.
The M4a4 does what a ct needs, an all around rife that can compete against the Ak-47 and the AWP. The m4a4 also allows the accuracy and firepower to play in any position weather aggressive or defensive and frag.
The AWP is also a sniper rifle that 1 shots to the body. Enough said.
The Deagle is the pistol that Supreme would sell. 700$ for a weapon that can easily take out any player with any gear from any range if use correctly.
Cz-75 is the best pistol when your looking to get a kill and upgrade fast.

(B)->Ump-45 M4a1-s Five7 Mac10

Ump-45 is one of if not the best force buy weapon

M4a1-s although more niche than the m4a4, it still provides tons of utility long range at the cost of a good sized mag
Five7 provides a less risky and more more capable weapon than the cz overall, but does less of the much needed dps that the cz can dish out.
Mac-10 is a rush-down machine that is both threatening enough not to scoff at, and cheap enough to not feel like a huge risk for terrorists.

(C)->Usp-s P2000 Glock P250 Mp7 Mp9 SSG Galil

The 3 starting pistols are extremely good on pistol rounds, but that is where their niche ends, becoming rather bad in most other situations.
P250 is really to inaccurate to place any higher, but is a great secondary and still maintains good damage for 300$ and is a good choice for pistol round.
Mp7 and the Mp9 are inferior for their prices to the Ump-45 but have somewhat good differences that keep them somewhat relevant
SSG can never be the awp it wants to be, but offers so many positives that the weapon makes up for its huge weaknesses.
galil is a good alternative to the ak-47 when low on money, but because of the ump dominance the galil is sadly niche.


(C-) -> SG553 famas P90 AUG Scar-20 Mp5-SD

The Sg553 Is overall a monster of a weapon, but if you die with it, and a CT pick it up, expect some trouble, as well as being worse in many aspects than the ak-47.
The P90 Is a good Suprise pick to get a quick entry frag or play aggressive, that's it.
The AUG has just as many negatives as the m4a4, yet costs more.
The Scar-20 Is a huge risk for moderate reward.
The Mp5-SD Is an smg that Doesn't funiction like an smg, and therefor reaps none of the benefits of being an smg(besides the 600$ kill reward).

(D)-> R8 Negev Mag-7 XM Nova Dualies Tec-9

Most of these weapons have a bad niche that can be used as a surprise every few games or so. They are bad, but they have a purpose.

(E)-> PP-bizon Zeus T-auto Sawed-off M249

The PP-bizon is more expensive than the Ump-45 and makes up for it with lower damage 10/10 weapon.
The Zeus is risking your life not your money, so it maintains a place above the m249 which does both.
The T-auto is a big risk for a low reward.
The sawed-off is so limited in what it can do that it is almost completely out classed by the nova, which is still not even that good.


(F)->M249

The worst weapon in the game is the m249, because it preforms worse than 3000$ rifles, and yet costs almost twice as much. By using it your risking the round, your life, your economy, and probably your teammates sanity.

In high tier play, you will be 3 tapped by the glocks. The Bizon is unusable any rounds except after you win pistol, so you always have to chuck it, when you could buy a ump, mp7, mp5, or an mp9 and be able to use it the next rounds as well. AND if they force your pretty useless. This tierlist isn't designed for their usefulness in silver. (Which I will admit it's pretty useful in silver)

I changed the tierlist format to make more sense, and shuffled around some guns, as well as added a new tier.

(S) -> AWP.
but currently csgo meta would be immensely different without AWPers on every team and an AWP being what you build your site takes around. The AWP is also a sniper rifle that 1 shots to the body. Enough said.

As if the awp is above the m4 and ak, especially the ak. The ak is the only weapon which find it's place in that spot (+cz)because ct's and t's all the way play with the ak, awper most likely switch to an ak in retake situations and the ak is the most viable weapon in every situation.

The glock and galil is not very usefull. The glock is one of the weakest weapons ingame and nearly no one buys an galil because you either go for an AK or SMG instead. Many other weapons are also completely wrong.

Overall of the point of view of an ex pro this is the real tier list if I take your order:

But I'd also divide it through situations:
Pistolrounds
Force buy
Eco
Fullbuy
For example the USP-S is top tier in pistol rounds but crap in all other scenarios so it's hard to put it into an overall group. The p250 on the other hand is strong as a T in pistolround and usefull(+ not expensive) in normal buys, especially as an awper or in a eco round.

don't think I said this anywhere, but I put the 3 starting pistols into 1 tier as a basis, that is earned a by their use on pistol round, and they are higher up or lower on that tier judging by their use in other rounds which is usually minimal. I might reorder the tier list again IDK i don't like having a best weapon category due to all the diffrent purposes of these weapons.

The game would change completely whenever you would take away a weapon. But we don't talk about something which doesn't exist, we talk about how it is. There is no reason to put a weapon in some kind of higher list just because they game whould change if we would disable it. Same with pistols, there is no reason to put them higher just to have some pistols in the higher list. Fact is that pistols are cheap and weak so we have to find their place overall in this list. The cz is by far the best pistol when it comes to strengh and weaknesses, followed by the deagle. All other pistols aren't really viable against full buys and only find their places in low tier eco rounds or as a secondary weapon if it's even needed.

CTs play with the usp-s in 99% of all cases, 1% with p2000 (that's why it's a niche item not like the USP).
T's nearly always play with the glock because body armor or grenades are more important as a t. In some cases (long range) you go for the p250 + some nades or even with a smoke and cz in some cases. But not that often. But whenever they can grab a usp-s or even p2000 they switch to it. That's why the glock is not in the same tier as the usp.

In eco rounds it depends on your money what you gonna do. As a T you always try to buy at least a p250. It's good because of the price, not because it's "that" good. If you can afford it you can of course go for a deagle or cz but that's pretty clear. All other pistols never find their usage. 5-7 is not that bad but if you wanna buy a pistol for 500 dollar you most likely go for an cz or if you wanna have the 5-7 gameplay (strenghts and weaknesses) you go for the cheaper version p250.

In buy rounds nearly no one buy a pistol ever because it's waste of money. Awper sometimes buy a pistol because when they miss their shot they have a better chance of winning the gunfight with a p250 (which is the best choice because of it's price) or - if you swim in money or can pick it up - a deagle or cz.

Move the M4A1-S to E, the gun is awful for its price.

Its not niche, niche is the Mag 7, that gun can do some serious damage in certain sitautions in you can get the enemy right where you want them, the M4A1-S is just flat out awful.

The joint 2nd most exepensive rifle just behind the AUG and yet it has the lowest DPS, joint lowest fire rate, lowest ammo count and holds no real benefits, its useless.

Yeah I worked a bit longer because I played deathmatch in between and did other stuff while writing.

Yeah those people are idiots, the gun is flat out awful, in 95% of cases you are better with an A4 and in CQB you are better off with a Famas, yes a Famas.

F0rest would be better off with the A4 i dont know why he uses the 1-S, i dont know if its a mental thing, same with Edward, its not really a preference its flat out worse.
