Buy Menu? Why cant i buy with the number keys?

Hello lads!

Lately, I just cant buy using the 1-9 keys in the buy menu. As this really irritates me, I really need some sort of fix for that!!

Are you using the numpad or the numbers above the letters (AZERTYUIOP...etc)?

Back in the older versions you had to use them. And it's way faster.
I use hotkeys for buying nades, m4/ak/awp/defuse/kev+helm but whenever I buy something which is out of the ordinary like a deagle I buy it with the numbers above your letters too. Like buying a deagle is B - 1 - 5.

I guess TheDude's answer is the correct one: He buy stuff with numpad and disabled numlock by mistake.

Which also works great, but is slower and if you make some tactics or something with your team you spend much time into buying things and you can't listen to everything that good in that time.

Awp, kev+helm+defuser+all grenades bought instantly. Pressing my normal buy hotkeys:
bind "F1" "buy vesthelm; buy vest"
bind "F2" "buy defuser"
bind "F3" "buy ak47;m4a1"
bind "F4" "buy awp"
bind "F5" "buy hegrenade"
bind "F6" "buy flashbang"
bind "F7" "buy smokegrenade"
bind "F8" "buy molotov"
Deagle - if you need one - bought instant too with B - 1 - 5. In 1.6 I bought it with numlock 1 ("end") but I don't buy it that often in csgo so I unbind it.

And again: The freezetime exist because teams need to talk about tactics, not buying. Buying has to be fast.

But I see you're not really experienced in playing CSGO. So take it as a lesson. :)

And I'm still highly interested in OPs problem. Was the disabled numlock the problem we guessed?

Hello OP,

sometimes it happens --- a BUG.

Shut down your CS GO and launch it again - should work...

Also you must have your NUM LOCK active - but i know you must be aware of that...

Yes buying weapons in CS was always fastest using NUM LOCK - its nice some guys here even dont know that... ( use it for 16 years now)

So this is a bug my friend have that problem before i told him to alt tab out from the game and back even pressing M + esc works to for him maybe try that and see if that solve you problem but i recommend you to have buy bind so if you press on the number lock 1 it's buying flash for exempel
