CSGO always starts in Windowed mode. Cant see Apply button

Please help. I have a compatible nVidia GPU and i'm running Ubuntu 18.04. Whenever i start the game, it always starts in Windowed mode and the bottom part is hidden. So, when i go to Video Settings and change the Resolutuon and Mode, i can't see the Apply Changes button as it is hidden below. It's very frustating and i'm not able to change any in-game setting. Any help will be appreciated.

okay, so after I typed the command, my game sort of crashes and I'm left with a black screen every time I log in. How do I delete the code that I had to type?

Works for me on Ubuntu 20.04

Just unlock the task bar and move it to the right
Then you will be able to see "Apply Changes"
then put back your task bar and lock it again
