Eventually sure, but it's going to take years. The only reason stickers increased so much in price in previous years was due to there being a lot of fresh players and very few players would actually hold them as investments, that or a lot sold early because who knew the game would still be alive this long. Game hit a second wind so lots of new players, but now we've got a ton of chinese investors and collectors who already know what's up. RMR was just from a bad year with covid and all, even with the real finals for Stockholm 2021 it's still probably going to take them a lot longer than what we saw in like, 2018.
In short, get stockholm.
this is perfect thread why u shgould listen to crowd in terms of investing - RMRs went +1000% up since 2021
They're up 10 cents from 2021, some 55.5% increase. While my speadsheet is a bit outdated for at least the last month and I'm not going to bother updating it today just to prove a point, stockholm is up some 310% just from 2022 and 500% from the initial sale in 2021, rio is up 55%, antwerp at over 150%. So yes, RMR is up and it was a cheaper buy-in since they were so dirt cheap, but we all saw how volatile the market was when paris was announced and I still haven't put anything into RMR because I wouldn't be surprised if they drop back down further. Paris is probably a far better investment even if it is overinvested only because paris stickers are still going to be sought after, RMR is still hated by nearly everyone because of how ugly they are.
People are better off buying rio than they are buying RMR, and I'll eat some cardboard if RMR ever breaks 60 cents again.
