Some additional details you may or may not care about:
If you're considering competitive nitpicking, both games have janky inconsistent hitreg under the hood, so don't worry about that. You're getting boned in either game.
If you're making custom skins and stuff and don't plan to add them to the workshop, or want more creative freedom on the workshop, pick TF2.
If you do play CS:GO for a long period of time, make sure to use a filter on your sound card to prevent the audio from bursting your eardrums. (nobody likes getting earshot in real life when they get headshot ingame)
