Changing away from Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist is not relly a big deal or even bad.
E-Sport is getting more and more attention, it fills stadiums and arrives in normal media.
With "terrorists" I think CS will always stand a little bit behind LOL or other esport titles.
Also, when a terrorist attack takes place and a CS event takes place....meh.

BUT "Attack and Defense" are just the wrong terms, because the attackers (Terrorists) attack, but after planting the bomb they are Defense. Same goes with CT. They are the Defense, but when the bomb is planted, they attack.

Casual viewers don't take notes they start to defend after the plant (i think)

I wouldn´t see it as a bad thing changing the name and for me it is not a sign for "bowing down to someone".

You like this game, so this is a thing that can help to give this game more (good) publicity and as a CS player you should look forward to it.
But that is just my opinion.

Pitting terrorists and Counter-terrorists against eachother is the essence of Counter strike. Changing it would be even sillier than f2p update. I don't think that Valve would comply
