(Serious Topic) Is it still worth going pro in csgo?
I've always wanted to go pro in csgo, but recently i have been wondering if it is still worth it. This is because any time i play csgo with my friends that play overwatch, they always say that the game is boring and they abandon and go play overwatch. Im not sure if csgo is just boring or if they just have the same passion for overwatch like i do for csgo.
Questions I have:
1. Is the csgo pro scene still growing?
2. Is it still worth going pro in csgo (is it worth putting in the time and effort)?
3. What is the future of the csgo pro scene?
4. What is the future of csgo as a game?

the csgo eSport is OG. the pro scene is ramping up still. your odds of making it to "pro" are about .001% ...

CSGO Pro scene is clearly bigger and better than Overwatch one

And you can't just "go pro", it takes a lot of talent, effort and dedication, if you aren't ez global already then you should instantly give up
This is really easy answer. You're not going to make any money off of playing csgo. No matter how much time you put in, you're not going to make it.

that's not "pro" ... people seem to forget that before "pro" comes years of "semi-pro" and eating Top Ramen for breakfast/lunch/diner.

You'd have to make so many sacrifices

On your profile it says you're faceit lvl 4/ low elo mm. Even if you were faceit lvl 10/ high elo you would have to run into people like this . (Up to you whether you believe he was being serious or just being an idiot.) I personally wouldn't go for it, you could spend time in other areas and realistically go much further.

You're more likely to become a professional football player than a professional CSGO player.
