128 tick is just double the processing time

IT's how many times the server checks the game for each personn by second.
CS GO is 64 tics, demo are 32, CS GO allow you to make a server up to 128 tic, which some third party services do.

Other FPS games are not even there yet, 47 and 32 tics beeing the norm. Expect Valorant that is "better than CSGO" so they use bigger numbers like a 1st grade argument.


And due to CS GO and valve communication, a bunch of people beleive 64 tics is bad while it's not.

watch the pro's in Stockholm use the Glock with ease. they are on LAN with 128.

ingame youll get 7 in 91 lol

I think that has more to do with their aim and training.
The fastest shooting gun in the game - the negev- to NOT squeeze an extra bullet in 128 over 64.

128tics sometime helps a bit for bhop, and it's true that some grenades lineup, especially with jumpthrow binds - works only in 128. Often you can adapts those lineup to 64tics though.

64/128 tics discussions exists only because valves allow the technical possibility to get 128tics. Others games are not there yet - expect Valorant just because that one advertized "better than CS GO" so used bigger numbers....
However, rumor of CS GO going to 128tics exist, and even if it's not usefull, people would stop complain. or rather stop complain about that.

hey theory is awesome

now go online @ 64tick with a 30-50ping and a mediocre gaming PC and you might notice that the amazing glock work you are seeing in Stockholm, you will never personally experience and it aint all "aim".

True dat, Valve seems to earn so much money with csgo why not upgrade servers?

the higher the tickrate the more precise ur aim has to be , many fear it for good reasons ^^

Not everyone have strong enough PC to handle 128 tick. 128 tick may bring more harm than good.

while 128tick indeed makes the game feel more responsive, server quality is a huge factor.. and valves servers are BOTTOM TIER.

Yes, it is easier to shoot, control recoil etc. in 128, but it works both ways.
