CSGO feels perfectly smooth offline (bots and stuff) but feels terrible microstuttery/choppy online
The problem is that my CSGO runs perfectly smooth while i'm offline, training with bots or being in a local server with a few friends, but as I soon as I step to any online servers, my game suddenly becomes all microstuttery/choppy, it's like a day and night difference. I have a perfectly fine running router, a stable 300/300 network with 1ms locally and 50ms to any other Europe servers. FPS is fine, it's stable 250-300 offline or online.

Has anyone encountered such an issue? I can't believe that such a difference between offline and online could be due to just standard 40ms. I understand like some delay, maybe a bit less smooth, but even the spray is different, holding angles is way more difficult, seems like the shots just don't land as they do offline. Same issue with 3 PC"s. Could it be like drivers/windows related? Or some software?

i5-8400
GTX 1060
DDR4 2x8Gb 2666Mhz
Samsung 960 EVO M.2 SSD
Benq XL2411Z 144Hz

TLDR: CSGO butter smooth offline (bots and local server), but feels like ♥♥♥♥ online (even with a stable network).

It happens to me because of the 50-200 ping variation

My ping is always stable 30-50ms. Doesn't go higher.

I have an Archer c5400. Are you using any special settings in the router? QoS, port forwarding/trigger? Checked logs? Updated Firmware?
I haven't changed anything in router settings.

Tried upgrading Firmware?

Might want to also change your DNS server setting to get one that is faster than your ISP. OpenDNS, CloudFlare, GoogleDNS, come to mind. I'm using CloudFlare right now.
I'm using CloudFlare DNS, changed it in network adapter settings on Windows. I didn't try to upgrade the firmware, I don't think there is a newer version tho.

Wireless? You said you're wired, right?

There was a 2018 update for that router.
That was a typo. :D I'm wired.
