why are ultraviolet butterfly knife prices so high

Anyone know why the ultraviolet butterfly knife prices have shot up. Like people are putting the price very high out of no where. Like for minimal wear. It now costs like 1000.

Well for one it's an old skin dropping out of cases which are all rare drops by now, on the other hand CS:GO's popularity is quite high atm, resulting in a high demand for skins - including Butterflies as the community's most beloved knife.
