My screen recorder does not detect csgo..
My screen recorder does not detect csgo..
I want to record my csgo demo to upload it on youtube. however when i launch csgo my screen recorder does not detect csgo. i thought its because of the game and i deleted and reinstalled it. didnt fix. i also thought that it may be because of my screen recorder which is Mirillis Action! so i downloaded another screen recorder named bandicam and oCam it also didnt detect csgo. btw in other games i dont have a problem like this

when i try to record it doesn't show black screen or something like that. it just does not start recording. and i gotta say that months ago even a year ago when i used to play the game i was able to record csgo with mirillis action! but tried it now idk why but it doesnt work.

Guys please help me :(

If you are using obs you have to use full screen, not game caputer

Then use same functions
Screen capture and audio output

After that use editor and you are ready

I think this whole thing has something to do with valves update or smth like that. But I read somewhere that there are only 2 options for that fix. You either use windows capture and put csgo on windowed fullscreen or record through your capture card.

i also think that its becoz of updates but there are still thousands of people who records the game the way i used to do/the way im trying to do. i have fps issues so recording with windowed mode will not work. in fact i took the game to windowed mode and yet programs didn't detect it. but probably taking the game into window mode and recording desktop would work but when i used to record the game fps were smthng like 30 in windowed it would probably decrease to 20 maybe even lower and that would make the video unwatchable and what is capture card im using laptop and it sucks

I understand you, so if you use OBS you always have to play with the settings, whether to use more video card or processor, fps, encoders, resolutions and etc. . OBS Studio gives the user the freedom to record as they wish. This is the best recording program but also light if you set it up
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I agree, but he can record his CS:GO in fullscreen if he uses the -insecure launch option anyway.

people already reported that mirillis action don't work on CS:GO at all.

this thread here which was started on 27th august 2020

https://mirillis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63733

people stated that CS:GO and mirillis action Crashed completely together.

which means that mirillis action is the cause of CS:GO crashing and nothing else.

older versions of it also causes CS:GO to crash also.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

in other words, your final paragraph where you go state that you can uses "mirillis action" with CS:GO 1+ year(s) ago is 1000000% BIG FAT LIE.

very obvious Mirillis Action is incompatible with CS:GO.

chances are very high that Valve Anti Cheat System Detects Mirillis Action and even though it never show any messages but i believe it causes VAC Error as a result.

mirillis action already not working on CS:GO for more than 6 years.

-insecure turn off vac, get obs configuration it the right way and use screen capture and not game capture this will make the recording works

but my uploaded csgo videos wont support your argument
my latest csgo video was uploaded 10months ago by using mirillis action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dO6en2JjwY

i was always using mirillis action to record my videos for example in this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9QGOa_kGJs im showing how to use digital vibrance in CSGO while recording with mirillis action you can see its logo. in my other desktop videos you also can see mirillis action logo in my taskbar

many people also state that csgo wont load maps crashes for no reasons etc. so if you say csgo works hundred percent perfect then you are lying.. cuz many people state the opposite right🤡

just because some people said action crashes cs doesnt mean this happens to everyone what a logic

so if you are calling me liar just because i said i was using mirillis action to record cs.. then you must also say liar to the developer of Mirillis action
https://steamcommunity.com/app/228180/discussions/0/2525904966931429503/
in this post go a little down and you will see the developer saying "We are not able to recreate this issue on our side. Action! records CS:GO as always."

also he said

"We are still trying to reproduce this problem as we have tested on several machines in our labs and CSGO works on all of them. But we will investigate further. We always want to help with all problems but we must first reproduce them internally."

and in the post i just ve linked above the author says "it doesnt work anymore" so it means it used to work right.

why would i lie while there is no reason
