you do realise though, that people dont just buy one case... they buy hundreds, thousands even. it was 0.14 dollars at its cheapest, now its at 37 dollars... thats a 26428% increase lol, if you bought 10 dollars worth of those cases, you would now have 2236 dollars WITHOUT the fees

You do realize that the future of this game or ANY game isn't solid? 8 years from now who knows there might be a new game or this game could die out. It's all chance. Or it could be some day valve decides to make those cases drop again like crazy for no reason. It's all random.

Like I said, it's not smart to invest in cases when the most expensive case to date (again not souvenir) is only 30 bucks and it took it 8 years to get that far. Lol

I mean it's their money sure, but is it always a smart investment? Absolutely not. Better off studying stock markets than a game that's been dancing around gambling laws for the past few years. They could easily just make those cases go back into circulation and those 8 years were for nothin'.

I disagree. I've spend 4k or 5k in this game and made like 4x+ the money back without really doing anything. Sure a job is the better way to go but that doesn't mean you can't invest some money here if you can afford it.

People also buy gold and it's just a gamble if it rises in price and if so they get like x1.05 in return.

Honestly the price trends of items in this game are just comparable to bitcoin. There is like nothing I know what had price increases of several thousand procents in such a short amount of time than collector pieces and bitcoin.

That's fine and dandy, but that's just confirms my first post. If you wanna make money off this game you need to spend it. Hoping to go from 10 cents to $400 off cases isn't really likely to happen.

yeah, but you dont need to wait 8 years lol, you can double your money in like 6 months, and i really doubt that the game will die in 6 months, also why do you keep repeating how much the case's worth? it doesnt prove anything lol, infact, it actually proves that makes sense to invest because of how much the price has risen, the only downside being that it took so long. some people make their money of of csgo investments/trading, and live of of that money, so i dont really get what youre trying to say

Again this is an old post and that case isn't even holding 2 dollars. My point was I wouldn't advice anyone to invest in it if they're hoping for lots of money with spending like a 1 dollar. (Look at OPs inventory).

Valve has been dancing around the "not loot box gambling" laws for a while. Who knows how long that'll last? Or when they decide to just say eff it and make "insert case here" drop again.

Those people who make money off CS:GO are the ones who spent money on CS:GO. Usually quite a bit. Expecting to go from 10 cents to $2000 off cases is not likely.
