Efficient mouse sensitivity for CS:GO
So yeah, I'm wondering if mouse sensitivity should be kept at a low settings (1 - 1.7).
I currently play on 1.6 sensitivity, but sometimes its really hard for me to do some flicks especially when its really necessary and critical. Should I change my sensitivity to a higher one?

I'm on 500dpi, im used to slow sensitivity because my hands really flicks fast.
you could try higher sens then, for a little while to see how you like it, but honestly if you ever need to flick more than 90 degrees you're probably supposed to be dead already

All personal i play on 800 ; 1.25
Some play on high some play on low , but i would recommend between 560-1800edpi , anything lower is too slow or higher is too high

a good rule of thumb is to set your sensitivity to be able to do a full 180 degrees with a single flick across your mousepad and to be able to track a still dinner plate sized target while strafing at full speed from any distance.

I can do that easily at 960 edpi (1.2sens @800DPI) on my large steelseries QcK heavy.

Changing your mouse sens too often is bad for consistency. So be sure before commiting to a change and stick with it because it takes a lot of time to get used to a new one.

Yeah this is what I was worried about, im used to my slow dpi settings, and also slow mouse sens in-game that if i change it to somewhat higher sensitivity, i'd lose my aim.

You'd have slightly worse aim and consistency in your flicks for about 2-3 weeks and your spray control would need adjustement. But if your current sens makes you miss a lot of close range shots against SMGs and that you can never turn fast enough when you get flanked I think it's fine to spend some time experimenting to find your perfect sens and then stick with it. You'll have worse stats for a while but once you get used to it you may realize that your hold sensitivity was holding you back.

Welp yeah, as expected, i lost my aim, but i could still be the top fragger. Unfortunately, i got de-ranked. Its ok, i guess. Just gotta play dm for days before hopping back right into competitive.

Yeah, i had this habit before because i couldn't find the right sensitivity. Sometimes i need more speed, but sometimes i need it slow, so where do i freaking stick to???!?! I got rid of this habit by just playing it, and totally forgetting it, just like "nah whatever..." but now, its back again help me god.

I did some experimenting, and now I'm set on 700dpi ; 1.8 sens. For me, its actually not bad compared to my last sensitivity. Though, now my aim is quite worse. Missing my shots, flicks sometimes go past the enemy or sometimes too short. Worse is, I got de-ranked. Did my best tho, I was able to frag a lot by my game sense and instincts, but still lost.

Maybe what he meant by "standard" is the settings CS:GO has already set. Idk :steamhappy:
