Personally, I would go in a map like Aim Botz and try flicking back and forth to the bots' heads. If you notice that you're constantly overflicking your shots, try lowering your sens by 0.1 or even 0.05. If you find your sens to be too sluggish for your liking, try the opposite.
But yeah, just find a sens you like one day and stick to it. Constantly changing it does nothing good for you. Hope this helped
For example, when you have 800 dpi and 1.5 sens, your eDPI is 1200.
While Louis is right with personal preference, there is still a mechanical usefull range you should be in. On average good player have ~900 eDPI. It is a good idea to use an eDPI value roughly in that area (+- few hundred). There are just very few pro player woth an eDPI value of below 600 and above 1200 for example.
And ofcourse with raw input on.
I suggest you set your DPI at 2400 (if that is your mouse his max) and set ingame sens at 0,5 if you are a wrist-player, or at 0.3 if you are a arm-player, and go from there.
Of course you can't find the perfect mouse settings.
Just stop changing the sens and you'll get better.
And NO, the cursor on your desktop (and in ingame (buy)menus) wont be faster, if you simply adjust the windows mouse sense to your liking.
And it's not "because they always did that in order to have a rough aim ingame". They do it because it is common to use with 6/11 windows settings and 800 dpi. That is the default value for windows cursor usage and has nothing to do with ingame settings. You simply don't notice any differences at all when you've 800, 1600 or 16000 dpi ingame. You will MAYBE see ONE pixel skip when you aim in double zoom 2000 meter away and use a real life magnifying glass in front of your crosshair and that doesn't matter at all.
You literally say "no it doesn't" and then disagree with yourself by saying "if you". I never said "you can't change your windows mouse sens and is solo depending on dpi". I said the dpi changes the speed of the cursor. Period. You don't have to search for counter arguments where no counter arguments exist.
1000 Dpi 1 sensitivity. I use a large mousemat.
Keep in mind the relation between Ingame sens and dpi.
400 DPI 8 sensitivity
800 DPI 4 sensitivity
1600 DPI 2 sensitivity
All those = the same overall sensitivity ingame.
Thats (appartly) because no one ever tried anything different, as they all copycat the same good ol' settings from the early days. When there wasnt any better than 400/800 dpi, and 800x600 reso (but thats another story) and when some ppl still used a ballmouse (yes a ball underneath instead of a sensor).
Actually you are the one who keeps defending these good ol' obsolete settings. Have you actually ever tried any other dpi setting beside these 400-800 settings.
No ? Then just give it a try, and see for yourself. And not a 5min try, but a day or two.
Start with 100dpi with 8 sens (or whatever sens you need to get at your eDPI)
Then 200dpi, with 4 sens
400 @ 2
800 @ 1
1600 @ 0,5
Etc. Etc .etc
The only possible conclusion you can get is: the higher the better.
And as i read correctly, you already somewhat admitted, higher is better. Maybe not much, or barely noticable ...but still better !
DPI is like chickenwire. Higher dpi is smaller chickenwire, better! ......if you know what i mean.
And here you go again with your evidence or proof from 'famous youtubers'
Other 'famous' youtubers have proven that the Earth is flat.
Stop viewing or listening to these ppl, they only tell you exactly what you want to hear. And they say everything to get more likes/views.
And why do you end up at these videos of ppl that tell you exactly what you want to hear. Because of google algorithms lead you to these vids based on your search history. (but thats just yet another completely different story, lets not go there)
Anyway, what i trying to say; try something new, just try. And see for yourself, instead of instantly copying these so called 'pro' settings. You'll never know if you dont try.

No, thats not what i meant.
Because im using this high dpi setting, my cursor in windows AND in csgo (buy)menus is going nuts so i adjusted it to 1/11 or 2/11, cant remember.
And this windows mouse sensitivity (6/11) setting thingy has no influence ingame when you actually playing, aiming and shooting players. As you can see when setting your dpi very high.
Anyway, long story short; ...Just give it a try !
