Storage Unit Quick Switch Scam?
I traded with a guy who had a FN Karambit Black Pearl for my #4 lowest float Bowie Black Pearl and MW .08 Lunar Weave gloves. Everything checked out. Inspect links worked in steam, item pics matched black pearl item pics, 3rd party inventory checkers said it was a black pearl. Passed it by a reputable trader and he gave it a green light. I sent a trade offer with the correct knife from him (I checked) and he accepted. When I checked my inventory, I had a Phase 3 Karambit, not a Black Pearl. Turns out he opened the trade, switched the BP with the P3 from his storage unit, and finished the trade. Now I'm out $800 thanks to a bug/glitch/exploit in Valve's software. Where do I report this exploit? I've already reported the scammer but this is a legitimate problem that needs to be fixed ASAP.

They fixed it with this. Can't really fix it except for being vigilant.

Nah like I double checked to make sure it was THE knife we were talking about. I double checked the offer I sent. Everything checked out. And then he quick switched it. Clearly not fixed.

Never heard of such a thing, the only thing he can do is send a counter-offer and you will have to accept it.

There is no official "report a bug" feature, at least as far as I know. You can try to contact support if it really is a bug.

Scams a scam no matter how you cut it.
Users should always double check the contents of a proposed trade before accepting, even if that means inspecting each item in a multiple-item trade. Be sure to verify the item and its quality before confirming any trade.

There are a number of common scams users may attempt to deceive you out of your items:

Item switching - You discuss a trade offer with another user beforehand, and the item they put into the trade offer looks like the item, but isn't as valuable as the original offer.
CS:GO quality switch - A user offers you a specific quality CS:GO item (Factory New), but the item in the offer is of a lower quality (Field-Tested). Often the item switch is made in a counter-offer.

Yeah there was no counter-offer. Just a one and done and bam, scammed. I've emailed support, will update on that.
