Counter-Strike 2
What am I doing wrong with my aim and practice?
idk why but this always happens every time. I really want to rank up in comp so I train my skills in deathmatch, workshop maps, casual games, and community servers and then after like 3 to 4 hours I feel like I'm ready and start to play very good in a comp game. I feel like I should rank up After the game finishes I play another one and I'm not as good as before. It feels like I lost skill or something just clicked off and all of a sudden I just continue to do bad again and again. Even after the next days I train as hard as I could and I cant get back to the skill I had when I first trained. In all the deathmatch games, community servers, and casual games it feels like my training doesn't even really improve my aim and skill anymore except just get me warmed up.
What is happening? What am I doing wrong? I am a Silver 2 (no wonder I really want to rank up:csgogun::steambored:)

When I practise, I play dm, listen to some musoc while the game is muted. I do this for like 2 hours. When I play comp, I play dm before for like 20-30 minutes. Also sometimes take a break. When I come back after a break, I feel like aiming is a lot easier.
And you should watch pro players play and pro team games and analyze what they are doing.

I dont understand, does deathmatch without sound help? or do you just mute the game because your listening to music because someone else also told me to play without sound

I have 1.3K hours, you only have 650 hours, I was mge. You should not always spray in different situations. For example: You're at mirage at top mid with ak47 and you see ct on short. It's really hard to hit target like that, so burst and taps are best. But on higher ranks don't repeek awp. You're like walking zombie then.
Alright so basic aim is kinda messed up at the moment. So right now I suggest adjusting your in-game mouse sensitivity slightly (lower or higher depending if you your aim placement is too erratic or your is too slow) and practice slowly in workshop maps to see if it fits good or not. No need to go too hard, just try to see if it is comfortable for you. Then if you want to go back to your old sens, feel free to do so.
This should help you to slowly let your muscle memory gain back the rhythm it needs.

Spraying should be done in a comfortable range to maximize efficient kills, try not to spray in long range as it basically starts to fall under luck and prediction at that point. Even I wouldn't go for spray at short range, I'd just go for a burst to the head.

My best way of warming up is simple target practice (like the bulls eye thing). I use this map for it, but there's a few other things in it as well. Check the pictures to figure out where the target practice room is. With target practice, you can train your accuracy to make your that the aim is consistent and not jittery. If you feel like it, you can adjust the timer to improve your flicks.

wow thank you all for giving me very helpful tips i will make sure i will continue to do all of these
Use smokes or flashes to kill that awper or give him disadvantage, like smoking short or flash peeking him. Tip for flashes: the closer are to an enemy, then he's blind for a few more seconds, when it's too far away it can only be for 0.5 seconds and don't do anything to him too much.
Remember to take frequent breaks in between, your hand muscles need that. If you feel that your hand is too tired and can't do anymore, just shut the game and come back 2mrw. Don't force yourself to become better, it will happen naturally as you practice.

You don't rely on sound to know where players are if you mute the game. You only rely on crosshair placement and your reaction and you only improve that. If you would have sound, you could know where enemies are and then be ready for them.

I see Ill just have a chill day tmrw and just train on dm no sound for a bit
People have good and bad days, sometimes you hit all the shots and peek at the right moments and sometimes its the opposite, you can not do anything but watching the demo in these situations.
