csgo often crash my graphic card driver

Hello.

csgo often crash my videodriver. Crash will begin after successfull played 1-2 matches or in first match (so it not systematic crashes).
In windows events i can find that the nvlddmkm video driver has stopped responding and has been successfully repaired.

This old problem appeared in about 2017 years. At the same time, other games (supporting my video card) do not lead to video driver crashes, for example Saints Row The Third, Saints Row 4, Hitman Absolution, other games on source, example left 4 dead 2, half-life 2.

So this problem only with csgo.

Possible overheating of the video card can be excluded, because I have a program that controls the operation of the fan on the video card - Asus Smart Doctor.

All video settings in csgo i set on minimum or low. Also all settings in NVidia panel i set on minimum visual effects and on maximum performance.

Nvidia driver installed last version from nvidia site. Also i tried install older version of the driver. It not helped me.

Please help me. Maybe i can disable all not needed visual effects in csgo via console commands? Or if this bug in csgo, then please fix it.

My system: Windows 7 (32 bit, sp1)
graphic card: Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 Mb
CPU: intel core 2 duo.
RAM: ~3300 Mb

also in old launches i used +mat_dxlevel 80 -dxlevel 80 and +mat_dxlevel 90 -dxlevel 90

it also not helped me...

Thats the reason why you crash.

You can keep novid and console

try upgrading to linux or windows 10 and see if that fixes it for you....

Sorry my friend, its time to upgrade. It served well from 2007 till 2021.

You can get something now days 20x better for around 450-650$ (used of course but still way better) You need to upgrade all parts = a complete kit is the only thing there makes sense to buy at this point.

Ps. know the prices varies a lot on what i wrote but it can be hard to find a good deal if you not have a little patience

edit: also in future buy a cheap aio cooler for your cpu im sure you wont regreat it
"dont evar buy the 2090/3090's unless you are going full water cooling or ready to overheat every 30min..

Actually I would prefer win7 over win10 or win11 any day in almost every situation.

But about the OPs question. Have you tried to verify your game cache, reinstalled the game, reinstalled your Display Drive (you have to uninstall it using a DDU), have you tried to reinstall windows? Have you looked at the event viewer to find out some possible problems?
