So far I see windows 11 is giving problems for gaming. That's a big difference already.
I read the other day they will have advance wifi anti lag feature in 11 which will be as good as wired internet and going to fix the spike, loss issue widely persists in wifi gaming.
Valve is also working with Microsoft into this.
So if really happens and effectively works then yeah its good reason I think to switch.
btw both technologies are still unused/overlooked.
Microsoft still creates safety patches for W7. The only reason to stop using W7 would be exactly the moment when they stop doing that.
Really sounds like Windows marketing is just "transparently" advertising their support of newer WiFi hardware chips, that are just no longer prone of that issue.
just verify game files and try play again in 1-2 houirs
Not according to their support page though...
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-7-support-ended-on-january-14-2020-b75d4580-2cc7-895a-2c9c-1466d9a53962
I'm quoting:
After January 14, 2020, PCs running Windows 7 no longer receive security updates. Therefore, it's important that you upgrade to a modern operating system such as Windows 10, which can provide the latest security updates to help keep you and your data safer. In addition, Microsoft customer service is no longer available to provide Windows 7 technical support. Related services for Windows 7 are also also being discontinued over time. For example, certain games such as Internet Backgammon and Internet Checkers as well as Electronic Program Guide for Windows Media Center are scheduled to be discontinued in January 2020.
1: Send feedback to Valve's VAC email address.
2: Roll back to win10.
3: Wait 6 months.
4: Upgrade to win11.
5: If the issue is still present go to 1.
Create Windows 11 installation media
If you want to reinstall or perform a clean install of Windows 11 on a new or old computer, use this option to download a tool to create bootable media on a USB or DVD drive.

I don't want to constantly reinstall Windows!
