CS:GO brightness keeps changing from 130% to 80% whenever I tab back in

I tested a lot of things, none of them fixed my problem, in 2020 I had the same issue, I fixed it by selecting "Use NVIDIA settings" in NVIDIA Panel > Adjust desktop color settings, but the problem came back, and now I don't know what to do.

Also when I'm switching brightness in game to 130%, it automaticly switch back to 80% when I close settings or just click other game option settings

What I tested:

Disabling Xbox Game/DVR;
Updating Graphics Drivers;
Updating Windows;
Deleting and refreshing CSGO cfg files;
Disabling full screen optimisations;
In nvidia control panel I've tried switching between using apps settings and nvidia settings, switching between full range and limited range colours;
Disabling gamma correction;
Unselecting Disable-full screen optimisations on CSGO.exe;
and probably more...

Please help.

This is caused by the 'disable fullscreen optimisations' and changing 'scaling behaviour' settings. On the one hand, you get extra FPS, on the other, it lowers your brightness every time you alt-tab, and it gets rid of your volume icons and makes alt-tabbing slower.

You need to disable both things in order for it to stop happening.

So i found the fix.. You need to go to browse local files and there will be a csgo.exe (launch csgo) file there.. right click on it and go to properties.. head over to compatibility and un-check the option where it says disable full screen optimizations.. Also in compatibility options go to change high dpi settings and uncheck the high dpi scaling override
