EDPI is just a common way to share the game sensitivity, it's not a real value. His mouse is working at 1000 dpi of resolution.
So, to bring my EDPI to 500, I just have to set my ingame sensitivity to 0.5?
I'm gonna to explain you quickly. The 99% of the mouse sensors come from the china and they are designed to work with a base of 400. If you increase the dpi value, the mouse makes a software multiplication. THe best way to use your mouse is between 400 - 800 dpi.
Use the game sensitivity to reach the "EDPI", but try to stay 400-800 on your mouse.
what important in the game is your edpi which is both your DPI x SENS. like your dpi is 800 and sens is 1 same as 400 on 2.
The good range for eDPI is something between 750-1250eDPI.
Edit: I just read that everybody recommends 400-800 DPI and tried to figure out how to get to it since the windows mouse settings, mouse with its own DPI and cs go sensitivity settings confused the heck out of me. Atleast I undrustand it now... somewhat...
DPI is the sensor resolution of your mouse. Your mouse can work at 1000 and 1600. We suggested 400 and 800, but your mouse starts from 1000, so, use 1000 or whatever you want.
EDPI is the common way to share the sensitivity. EDPI = DPI * Game Sensitivity. EDPI isn't related to your mouse, it's just an imaginary value
So when you have 800 DPI with 1 sens it's the same as 400 DPI with 2 sens.
Btw. 2500 eDPI is very high. It's suggest to use roughly 900 eDPI (+- some hundreds).
imaginary VALUE not number. If you have 3 apples in your basket and multiply them by 2, you will get 6 but in your basket there are always 3 apples.
400 DPI * 2 = 800 EDPI -> Your mouse works at 400 DPI
800 DPI * 1 = 800 EPID -> Your mouse works at 800 DPI
As you can see, EDPI is just a common number without sense.
