getting stuck when surfing

so im new to surfing and downloaded some maps on the workshop but when i start surfing on the ramp i keep hitting this invisible walls or some sht, i lose all my momentum and basically have to start over again, so what causes this, is it the tickrate?, fps? a console command im missing? or is it a problem with the maps

The default game settings aren´t made for surfing like on dedicated servers (same goes for bhop or kz). Change them in the console:
