Do you need Prime to watch demos!! pls help

i wanted to get some replays cinematics. but when i played a ranked game it never showed up in my watch recent ranked match tabs. then i realized jt might becuase i don’t have prime that it won’t count as ranked. but when i went into another game i went into the console and typed record demo. so once the game was over i played the demo but the camera was stuck on the character. no commands no binds no buttons work. i can’t go in third person it’s just stuck on the character. everything i do doesn’t work it’s just stuck on my character. please help

when u do record demo only records first person, u cant go free cam or even third person

Short explanation:
Go to your Profile > then on Games > then on search for CSGO and go on "Personal Game Data" then go to the headline "Competitiv Matches".
Here you should find your Ranked MM games and also be able to download & Watch them via GOTV.

for it to download bc rn im just stuck with a black screen

Downloading the demo (assuming you have decent internet) usually takes at most a minute. Should load in like you're loading into a normal game.

as far as I know (never downloaded it from Personal Game Data, so I can't garantuee it), do you "have" to watch it with CSGO Client.
Usually you find it in "Watch matches and tournaments" in CSGO and there you have "Downloaded" section.

im pretty sure you need prime for this bc it doesnt count as a ranked match unless you have prime therefore it wont pop up in recent ranked match tab, therefore you cant download, my reason being do you need prime for this

I have prime and "can't" download it either, but it seems to be because we don't have the supported file type. (also got just a blackscreen while downloading and have not the nerves to wait minutes to see if something changes)
But either way, I sadly wouldn't know how to help in this case :/

I believe you should try getting in contact with the support and ask them for help.
(or ask google, sometimes it helps too)

yeah same i waited for like 30 mins ive been searching on google all day and i just cant find help its just frustrating.

Since you don't have prime, so you wont be able to play ranked matches. And Valve does not store GOTV demos for Unranked Competitive matches anymore.

Record command records a POV demo, where only your first person POV is available.
