180 fps vs 300 fps

i have a 144 hz monitor and did more fps actually matter, i use two difference resolution and one gives me around 180+ fps and the other gives me 300 + fps. so will the increase from 180 to 300 gonna help much

nah you have 144hz so it doesnt change anything, if you had 240hz maybe

I've a 144hz monitor and can tell you the difference between 160 and 200 fps already. I could tell you the difference between 99 and 100 fps in CS1.6 back then. This video describes it:

The benefit of having more FPS than your monitors refresh rate is that it reduces input lag. So the more the better when it comes to competitive shooters.

mine is 240Hz monitor, people report me of pre firing because I do physically see them first in higher fps

More hz is nice as long as you can reach the same amount of average fps - not more than that needed.

This means the only negativ effect would be less fps than hz.

Yes it can even though your monitor can only see 144 it will still help to unlock the fps, the more fps you have the more smoothly game play it's not like this on every game but CSGO are bc of the really old engine
