Unlocking competitive

How are we supposed to know how many games people are supposed to complete? Its super vague and Id rather not waste a week praying.

wellp then i am out of guesses, however google is not and one person on reddit replied

Edit: here is a response from valve : “New accounts can still get to Rank 2 and unlock competitive. It's just not a proper Rank unless they upgrade to Prime.

Your friend can check their progress by hovering over the Competitive tab in the Play menu.”"

Getting level 2 doesnt take long at all! probs less than an hour :)
