Can this macbook pro from mid 2012 run CSGO?
My friend was wondering if he could run CS:GO on a 13 inch 2012 Macbook Pro

Specs are:
CPU: Dual Core Intel Core i7 2.9 GHz
GPU: Intel HD 4000 (1536 MB)
RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz

So yeah, can he?

You can start it but get like sub 60 fps so not worth it.

he can run csgo, but he will be at a disadvantage mostly because of his pc specs. From this he'll get around 60 fps at best which is doable but still a disadvantage

my pc is worst than yours and i play the game at 42 fps best
so yes you can play the game

but if you are spoiled kid who likes 120 fps and above and cant stand 20 fps drops you are not worthy of using that mac book

It CAN run csgo.
Just, really really badly.

That's why I wouldn't call it "run". I would say "it can walk csgo". Pun intended :steamhappy:

Lol that's genius. :D

Btw. to calm down again and be a little more serious: Starting is possible but I wouldn't want this experience, sub 60 fps is really really annoying to play with. :x
So i did suggest to my friend to just basically lower he's resolution and basically any other settings and he said he was getting 20-60 FPS which yeahhh sucks.

A macbook pro from 2011 runs it with 30FPS so..

Lol from experience, i can tell you that it should work. I have run the game on a 2013 macbook pro, you just have to be willing to commit to sub 30 frames and playing at very very low graphics

Why are you reviving a 4 year old thread? Let it die already.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
